How does the NBA Draft Lottery work?
- The teams eligible for the Draft Lottery are the 14 teams that missed out on the NBA Playoffs.
- Each team is assigned odds based on their regular season record.
- Most notably, the teams with the three worst regular-season records will each have a 14 percent chance of winning the lottery.
- After drawings are conducted for the first four picks, the other lottery teams will continue to pick in inverse order of their regular-season record.
